With the time, the standards of football have changed a lot in aspect of game standard as well as in aspect of salary.
The average salary that a football player playing in top leagues of India, that is I- league and Indian Super League is around INR 60 lakhs to INR 75 lakhs per season. Odafa Onyeka Okolie is the highest paid player in I- league and earned INR 3.25 crores per season. The highest paid player in ISL in 2015 was Elano who was paid INR 4.8 crore per season.
